Bringing community partners and local churches together to meet the physical, financial, and relational needs of our neighbors.
Love NOVA
At the start of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, The Journey community came together to raise funds, serve, and meet the needs of our neighbors in crisis. From this work, our non-profit, Love NOVA, was born. Today, Love NOVA organizes a number of outreach and community service events in the Northern Virginia area.

Afghan Allies
Throughout the year we support local Afghan refugees by partnering with other nonprofits to provide furniture, clothing, and life skills training. This year we are focusing on assisting with driving skills/licensure and insurance.
MLK Day of Service
Every January, we partner with local non-profits to promote volunteerism at a variety of events. Check back to find out which event we will be attending this year.
Every year on the Sunday after Easter, hundreds of community members come together to pack meals to help alleviate local food insecurity.
National Night Out
Every August, we host this fun community event in the Landsdowne area to encourage public safety and help neighbors get to know one another.
At the beginning of the school year we partner with Koinonia Foundation to provide school supplies and backpacks to local children each school year.
Grocery Store Buy-Out
The Grocery Store Buy-Out is a large-scale food drive event to benefit Koinonia Food Bank's Thanksgiving Meals program. Participants will receive suggested shopping lists to provide traditional and multicultural holiday meals for local families.
Each Thanksgiving, we facilitate a food drive in order to provide numerous Thanksgiving meals to bless our neighbors in need during the holidays.
Every December we donate toys and gift cards to Koinonia Foundation so their client families can provide gifts for their children.
Love NOVA is a 501c3 Nonprofit Organization. All donations are tax deductible. We so appreciate your financial support as we work to bring people together to provide assistance to our neighbors in need.
