Bringing community partners and local churches together to meet the physical, financial, and relational needs of our neighbors.
Love NOVA
At the start of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, The Journey community came together to raise funds, serve, and meet the needs of our neighbors in crisis. From this work, our non-profit, Love NOVA, was born. Today, Love NOVA organizes a number of outreach and community service events in the Northern Virginia area.

Afghan Allies
Throughout the year we support local Afghan refugees by partnering with other nonprofits to provide furniture, clothing, and life skills training. This year we are focusing on assisting with driving skills/licensure and insurance
Every year on the Sunday after Easter, hundreds of community members come together to pack meals to help alleviate local food insecurity.
National Night Out
Every August, we host a fun community event in our community to encourage public safety and help neighbors get to know one another.
At the beginning of the school year we partner with Koinonia Foundation to provide school supplies and backpacks to local children each school year.
Thanksgiving Food Distribution
On November 18th, The Journey and Love Nova will be providing free
fresh food to our neighbors in need. One of the greatest needs for
low-income families locally is fresh healthy food. Fruits, vegetables,
dairy, and meat are expensive to purchase and hard to access from food
banks. To volunteer with us this year, sign up here.
Every December we donate toys and gift cards to Koinonia Foundation so their client families can provide gifts for their children.
Love NOVA is a 501c3 Nonprofit Organization. All donations are tax deductible. We so appreciate your financial support as we work to bring people together to provide assistance to our neighbors in need.
