Love NOVA
At the start of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, The Journey community came together to raise funds, serve, and meet the needs of our neighbors in crisis. From this work, our non-profit, Love NOVA, was born. Today, Love NOVA organizes a number of outreach and community service events in the Northern Virginia area.

Every Spring, hundreds of community members come together to pack meals to help alleviate local food insecurity.
Backpack Giveaway
Every August, we host a fun community event alongside our community partners to distribute backpacks for school and get the word out about local resources.
At the beginning of the school year we partner with Koinonia Foundation to provide school supplies and backpacks to local children each school year.
Throughout the month of November we'll be collecting baskets full of non-perishable foods and household items for families in our community. Empty laundry baskets will be available starting November 3rd to pick up along with a shopping list. The filled baskets will be due back to The Journey by November 24th.
Every December we donate toys and gift cards to Koinonia Foundation so their client families can provide gifts for their children.
