The Journey is a Christian church dedicated to carrying out the great commission of Jesus Christ as revealed in the New Testament of the Bible (Mathew 28:18-20 and Mark 16:15-16). We often express this mission as “helping people take their next steps towards Jesus.” Each staff member at The Journey is considered an integral messenger for this mission.

 Next Gen Pastor


We are looking for someone to fill the position of the Next Steps Pastor to lead the Journey Teen and Young Adult Ministries. This is a full-time position, and one that is new to our team! Those interested in applying can click here to check out more information about the position and apply.


Administrative Assistant

The Journey has been experiencing growth over the past few years and are looking for someone to join our staff team on a part-time basis who is organized, detail-oriented, and has experience with administration or office management. 



General Responsibilities

  • Database management and reporting

  • Manage church-wide and facilities calendars

  • Financial Reporting

  • Purchasing of office and Sunday Morning supplies and monitoring inventory

  • Preparing the church building and office for Sunday Mornings and other events

  • Records Management

  • Meeting agenda preparation, Note-taking and filing

  • Office duties: answer the phone, receive visitors and vendors, collect and sort mail, order office supplies

  • As needed, assist with event planning and purchase event supplies

  • Assist with church and community marketing as needed. Print in-house materials and outsource and pick up larger items such as banners and signs.

  • Manage Office Email

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Mature, growing, follower of Jesus who understands and lives out the Gospel.

  • High School Diploma, College degree preferred

  • Experience in a office administration or managerial position

  • Proficient in word processing, creating spreadsheets, and able to learn data management software

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Detail oriented

Hours

This is a part-time position requiring 10 hours per week. Tuesdays are a required workday. The Administrative Assistant reports to the Executive Director.
