Journey Kids "Zones"

All first-time guests are asked to complete a Guest Registration Form at the front desk, located at the main entrance to Journey Kids.  Based on ages and developmental stages, your children will be assigned and then escorted to their classrooms. All of our Journey Kids classes are identical for both services. Rooms open 10 minutes before each service.

Learn more about our zones for different ages below:

  • Baby Zone

Baby Zone is for newborns through 24 months. We have three rooms that are designated according to your child's developmental stages. We call them Sleepers (0-7 months), Crawlers (8-15 months), and Walkers (16-24 months). We concentrate on three basic truths as we focus on meeting your child's needs while they are with us - God made me, God loves me, and Jesus wants to be my friend forever.

Our Sleepers room is the only Journey Kids room upstairs, just off the main lobby, and is set up to accommodate nursing mothers as well.

  • Tot zone

Tot Zone is our environment for preschool children, ages 2 – 5. The early years in a child's life from birth to 5 is our first chance to make a lasting impression of a loving Heavenly Father.  We can turn the wonder dial to help a child see God for the very first time. Nothing is more important for your children than to begin to understand who God is. We want them to know God as their Creator, their Heavenly Father, and their Friend. With this in mind, we want all preschoolers to master 3 key truths before they leave Tot Zone: "God made me, God loves me, and Jesus wants to be my friend forever!"

We accomplish this by creating an exciting place where children have consistent leaders and experience a loving God. Each week in Tot Zone, our caring volunteers lead children in a bible story, singing, and activities to engage all of their senses, and small group time. The day is tied together with one key concept carried through each different activity.

  • Live! Zone

In Live! Zone, grades K-6th, we believe the Bible should never be boring, worship can be really loud, and good leaders always care. Before kids head off to middle school, we want to make sure these three things stick...

    1. I need to make the wise choice.

2. I can trust God no matter what.

3. I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

How can we do that?  By showing kids that:

    - The Bible is the source of wisdom and truth.

    - How what they learn applies to their daily lives.

- That relationships with small group leaders, adults, and friends matter.

The focus in Live Zone! is our small group environment.  We want kids to see how God's Word fits into their everyday lives, to learn how to talk to Him, and how to build friendships that will last. That's why it's important to make sure your child connects with the same friends, same leader, at the same hour - EVERY SUNDAY!
