FAQS
Dress is casual. Come as you are. No need to dress up or feel like you must have it all together.
Our services are at 9am and 10:45am. On your first visit, we recommend trying to arrive 10 minutes early, if you would like to check your kids into our kids’ classes. But we know life is busy. Don’t rush. We’ll be here!
There is plenty of parking on a large surface lot beside and behind our building. Parking attendants will help welcome you.
When you arrive, you’ll see a welcome area at our main entrance with signage that says “New Here? Start Here!” Stop by so one of our team members can welcome you and show you around.
If you have kids, stop by our welcome area at our main entrance with signage that says “New Here? Start Here!” Our volunteers will show you to our “Journey Kids” area and help you check your kids into amazing classes designed just for them! We offer classes during both services for kids ages birth through 6th grade. Our Middle School class for 7th and 8th graders meets during the 9am service. High schoolers are invited to join the main service with their family.
In our lobby, help yourself to hot coffee from Cervantes Coffee Roasters, a local artisan roaster, and choose from a wide selection of teas.
Each of our services is one-hour long. If you’d like to participate in communion, you can grab a pre-packaged communion cup on your way into the auditorium. Our worship team leads us in singing 2-3 worship songs, we share a few announcements about upcoming events, one of our pastors shares a sermon for about 30 minutes, we take communion together, and we close out with a final worship song.
In service, you’ll hear us talk about our Try 5 Challenge. We believe that you can’t fully get to know our church in one visit, so we ask each person to give us 5 “tries” to get to know more about who we are, what we believe, and how to get connected. If you decide to “Try 5” with us, after the service, stop by the Next Steps table in the lobby for a Crumbl cookie–our way of saying thanks for checking us out!
NEWCOMER CLASS
Every few months, we offer Starting Point, a Sunday afternoon class for people who are new or new-ish to The Journey. We’ll provide a delicious lunch, childcare, and a great environment for getting to know others who are new to the church. This class covers our beliefs, programs, and the best ways to get connected–and provides plenty of time to ask any questions you might have. Interested in attending an upcoming class?
