About the series

The Fall Marriage Series offers fun and educational opportunities for you to connect with other married couples at the Journey, develop a support network, and strengthen your marriage and family relationships. Every event will point to growing closer to God as the foundation of growing closer to one another. Most events are tailored for married or engaged couples. However, if you are in the dating stage of life, be sure to check out the details, as some seminars will be beneficial to your dating life now.

September events

Couples Speed Dating

September 23rd, 7 - 8:30pm

Come and have fun getting to know other couples at the Journey. This event will give you a fun opportunity to meet other couples with similar interests. It is important for couples to have local friendships that can support and encourage one another. Childcare provided.



Zoom Seminar: How to Make Jesus the Center of your Marriage

September 27th, 7:45 - 8:45pm

In this one-hour zoom event, couples will learn why it is important to make God the center of their marriage and discover practical ways to do so.

Fall Family Outing at Cox Farms

Marriage/Family Mission Statement and Prayer: Zoom Seminar

October 4th, 7:45 - 8:45pm

In this one-hour zoom event, couples will create a mission statement for their

marriage/family and develop a family prayer.


5 Love Languages

October 16th, 12:00 - 2:00pm

Many people have heard of the five love languages. Come get a little more in-depth

knowledge and practical tips to speaking your spouse’s and child’s love language. During this event you will complete a love language assessment. If you have children ages 5 and up, you will be able to have them complete an assessment during the last 30 minutes of the event. Lunch and childcare provided.


Mom's Support Group

October 22nd, 9:00 - 10:30am

Moms of Toddlers, Children, Preteens, and Teenagers, this is for you!!! It is a place where mothers can give and receive support and encouragement from each other. Facilitated by Brandee Zettel, family counselor, and mother of three. This first meeting will be more of a meet and greet, and to get some information on the basic needs and availability of mothers who would like to be involved. Sign up to come shortly.

Effective Communication & Conflict Resolution Skills

November 6th, 12-2pm

This seminar will help you gain effective communication skills. Learn communication patterns that can escalate and de-escalate conflict. Lunch and childcare provided


Date Night

November 18th, 6:30-8:30pm

During this event, a short message will be provided for couple enrichment, then the couple will enjoy a nice meal together, and some comedy will follow. Put on your date night outfit for the photo booth and enjoy a night out.
