CARE AT THE JOURNEY
We believe that part of what it means to be the Church is that we care for one another, particularly in our times of need. Because we believe care happens best in the context of community, our primary venue for care is through our Neighborhood Life Groups. If you are in a group, reach out to your group leader.

resources & support for federal workers
Because of our location right outside D.C. and the makeup of our church—with many military and federal worker families—we know the current government shutdown is affecting many of you. You may be dealing with worry, anxiety, or financial stress. As a church family, we believe part of our role is to be there for one another during difficult times like this. With that in mind, here are several ways we’re offering support right now.
Counseling
If you need someone to talk to or help you process what you’re going through, we’d love to connect you with a Christian counselor and have a fund set aside to cover the cost of counseling sessions.

thanksgiving meals
As Thanksgiving approaches, we’d like to bless anyone in our church family who would be encouraged by receiving a Thanksgiving meal.
If that’s you, please click here to let us know. We’ll deliver a basket during the week of November 17th.
the journey mobile market
Saturday, December 13th, is our next Mobile Market - a fresh food distribution from 11am - 1pm. There is no registration required to receive food, and no restrictions or qualifications to receive food. This is open to anyone from the community to attend, so please pass this opportunity on to neighbors and friends as well.
